Please be sure to vote in today’s SEA election.  Thank you to all of our building reps across the district volunteering time to run today’s vote.  The tally will not be until next Monday, December 19 (during our SEA Building Rep meeting).  We do need tally counters so if you can lend a hand, contact Kelly O’Reilly (kellyoreilly@sd54.org).

Good morning, SEA!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving break and enjoyed the time off!  I will send out a new edition of the Monday Message next Monday.  Here’s the link to last week’s edition in case you didn’t have a chance to view it due to conferences. 

Be sure to share any feedback about having parent/teacher conferences in November just once this year with your building representatives so that can share that with me during a discussion at the December building rep meeting.

Happy Conferences Day, SEA!

Can’t believe we made it to our  conferences.  Hope your meetings with families go well today and tomorrow.  It will definitely be nice to have several days off for the Thanksgiving holiday!

HAPPY AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK, SEA!

Today marks the kick-off to #AEW2022, a week that honors the public school community and all educators who make a difference in the lives of our students. Check out NEA’s American Education Week website for ideas of how to celebrate and recognize many of our colleagues throughout the week.  

The SEA and SEEO will be celebrating YOU at our Member Appreciation Event today afterschool from 4:30-6:30 PM at the PLC.  Even if you didn’t RSVP, you are still welcome to join us. We’ve got your dinner covered for this evening…sandwiches from the Toasty Cheese food truck.  This event immediately follows the SEA Building Rep Meeting in the PLC from 3:30-4:30 PM.  All members are welcome to attend our monthly rep meeting.  If you would like to attend virtually and want the Zoom link, please email me before 3:00 PM.

Mobley’s Message 11-07-2022

Good morning, SEA!

Hope you were able to benefit from daylight savings time ending yesterday and that you have a productive day today!  This week’s 11/7 issue of the Monday Message begins with some of the important SD 54 dates and contractual times for the month of November.  Today’s half day of plan time and half day of professional development will happen three times this school year per our new contract. 

This Wednesday, November 9, IEA President Kathi Griffin will be visiting the Palatine IEA office for a member listening session at 5 PM.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP here.  As a member of Region 35, you are invited to attend.  

Speaking of RSVP’ing, if you haven’t let us know you are planning on attending our SEA/SEEO Member Appreciation Event next Monday, November 14, at the PLC from 4:30-6:30 PM, please fill out this form.  The local leaderships look forward to hosting this event for you!
