Good morning, SEA!

I want to take a moment to invite you to our first SEA Building Rep Meeting of the year happening today after school. While you do have elected building reps who attend these meetings on behalf of your building, all members are welcome to attend!  We will be meeting in the PLC from 3:30-5:00 PM.  You can also attend via Zoom.  In order to get the Zoom link to our meeting, you must fill out this form by 3:15 PM and the link will be emailed to you by the start of our meeting.

Attached to this email you will find our September 18th Edition of the Monday Message, the flier for our SEA/SEEO Craft and Vendor Fair THIS SATURDAY, and the flier for D54 Education Foundation’s fundraiser THIS WEDNESDAY at Lou Malnati’s.

Also attached is our September Contract Tidbits reviewing the language behind plan time in District 54.  We encourage our members to check their schedules at the beginning of the school year to make sure they have the correct amount of plan-time.  If you are unsure of how the contract language reads, please check with your building rep or our SEA Contract and Grievance Chair, Dan Levin (@Lincoln Prairie).

Lastly, if you are interested in serving as a building rep for the remainder of this year, a nomination form and elections notice for our special Fall election is attached. Those buildings with only one or two reps may be eligible to have additional representation.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our elections chair, Kelly O’Reilly (kellyoreilly@sd54.org).

Enjoy your half-day service this week and I hope to see you this weekend at our Craft & Vendor Fair…time to start some holiday shopping!
