Mobley’s Monday Message 1-17-22

Good morning SEA!

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!  Though many of you won’t be checking work email until Tuesday (I hope!) I still wanted to send this week’s edition of the Monday Message (1/17) out to you.

Here are some of the highlight and links in this week’s edition:

Attached to this email is the flyer for the Beyond Chequity Discussion Series any SEA or SEEO member is welcome to attend.  You can also find a copy of D54’s Staff and Student Exclusion Chart, recently updated based on Quarantine Guidance from the CDC and IDPH; the Health Alert is also attached for you.

This week SEA’s bargaining team will be in negotiations with our District 54 Administration/BOE on Tuesday and Thursday.  We will keep you posted.

Take care and stay warm, SEA!

Mobley’s Monday Message 1-10-22

Good morning SEA and welcome back!

Attached you will find a copy of this week’s Monday Message.  Additionally you will find a flyer for Region 35’s Beyond Chequity Discussion Series that will be starting this month.  For more information and to register check out the flyer and registration

SEA’s texting distribution list was updated over break. If you did not receive a text from me, you may have opted out in the past from other texts from IEA or NEA. I have worked with IEA to try and get as many of our members added as possible before sending out an all-membership survey this week. We appreciate you taking just a few minutes to complete the simple two-question survey to gather some data for our contract negotiations team. SEA’s negotiations will resume throughout the next couple months.

As a reminder per the mail that was sent out on Friday, I will be sending out texts using the Hustle app throughout the day today to make sure those who want to be included on further text correspondence from the SEA are included.  If you did not accept the texts last year, you may not be receiving them from me.  So, anyone who does not receive a text from my by 8 PM this evening, please email me tomorrow so I can work on getting this corrected for after break.  Anyone who DID NOT include a cell phone on their SEA membership forms, may not be receiving the texts.

Please do not try communicating with me through those text messages.  If you need to get in touch with me, use my cell phone listed below.  Thank you!
